This work stems from the need to provide a comprehensive overview of the many changes made by the legislature last August in diverse areas of law. For the purpose of easier comprehension, the amendments have been divided into four parts: the first three contain the changes made by Decree Law No. 83 of June 22, 2012, on "Urgent measures for the growth of the country," converted into Law No. 134 of August 7, 2012, which intervened in the following areas: Bankruptcy Law; Code of Civil Procedure; Pinto Law. The fourth part, on the other hand, deals with the repeal of professional fees for lawyers and the introduction of professional fees by Ministerial Decree 140/2012. The work is structured with boxes in which the regulatory text in its original formulation and the new regulatory text in which the changes introduced are highlighted in bold.
